That's correct.
Works includes Microsoft Word, a spreadsheet, a database, and a few other programs.
It is aimed at home users, so it doesn't include a lot of the more advanced functionality of MS Office.

For the most part.

Depending on what version of Works she had, it may have included some other software that Office can't replace. I haven't had much exposure to Works in a while. Any spreadsheet or word processor documents should transfer over to Office.

They also have converters there to convert some of her works files to Office equivalents.
