I have looked in the Windows folder and there are some files there. They sometimes work. Thanks for your help. p.s. I deleted the help file url that could delete my other files, so do not worry about me having that problem. If this is a clean install, try another cd. 1 - Make sure IE is default browser 2 - try safe mode 3 - In Inet options > connections > lan settings > make sure nothing is checked. If there is something checked uncheck everything. 4 - Start > run > helpctr.exe 5 - Check event viewer for any errors 6 - SFC /scannow 7 - You could try reinstalling help & support. One way is by right clicking c:\windows\inf\pchealth.inf and left click install. However this is a clean install again. 8 - Do you classify a clean install as just installing windows, or installing windows then 80 other apps? -gosh
