If it only happens playing video intensive games it has to be the video driver. Try lowering the hardware acceleration. Use dxdiag.exe, do the 2 video tests. Try safe mode if possible, if it works in safe mode it is the video driver. Download the most up to date display driver, since the xp drivers don't support opengl. Apply sp1, since it has a fix that applys to new games, and in general it has a lot of improvements in directx. -gosh
