I'm assuming your running WinXP Pro. Did you also set up an "administrator" account? If so, long on as that and give it a try. One last question - did you encrypt this folder? If so, when you reformatted, the public key was destroyed and you won't be able to access it at all. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800; Matrox G400 MAX; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional

Try copying or moving the folder(s) from your F drive to the C or other drive where security isn't implemented. Generally, when files are moved/copied to a different drive where security ins't implemented, then the files/folders inherit that drives security level. As to the files that are encrypted, as you don't have the encryption key (it was lost when you reformated) then these files can no longer be accessed. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800; Matrox G400 MAX; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional
