I would say good performance, not great but yes as Michael says - more ram is a VERY good idea for XP and its dirt cheap right now.

You should get excellent performance on XP Pro. Remember that the home edition doesn't support multiple processor setups. I think 128 is the minimum but definitely if you have the cash slap in some more RAM.
