| Create a new profile; copy the contents the the old user profile over it. Reboot and log in as a user with admin rights to the Local Machine. Delete the old corrupted profile and then reboot again. Log back in as the same admin user as above, rename the profile/user you just created. log off or reboot, and log back in with the original and desired user that you just renamed. You'll have a fresh profile and all your old settings - sans the corrupted files in the old user. |
