will you stop bitching jaguar, maybe do some research first, it seems like your information came from the national enquirer or something.

All product activation is binding the OS to the hardware. WHen you install winxp it makes a long number, that is generated based on the amount of ram, hard drive serial, cpu type, and a couple other goodies. For new pc's, it's only bound to the BIOS not hardware. The activation does not include any personal info, such as your name and address, so microsoft cannot sell anything to advertisers.

Microsoft has NEVER said this will end piracy, never ever. The whole point of WPA is to stop these people from buying 1 copy of windows and installing it on multi computers, that's it.

And this is nothing new, all windows end user license agreement, said you could only install windows on 1 pc, this is nothing new, what's new is microsoft is making you abide by the agreement.

BUt i really dont care, im sick of people like you bitching. If you dont like windows xp, go install linux. Have fun spending all day installing it, just to have none of your hardware work.
