Windows ME (some of us used to refer to it as Windows LAME edition) has proved to be a difficult upgrade OS. Best recommendation would be to do a clean install: 1. Reboot the computer with the WinXP Home CD. If the computer BIOS is set to boot from the CD first, it should recognize it. You'll see a line at the top of the screen that says "Press any key to boot from CD" (or something similar). 2. Go thru the screens. When you get to the option to upgrade or delete the partition, DELETE the partion. You are essentially doing a clean install (meaning, none of WinME's problems are carried over. 3.
