Does anyone know how to make XP actually remember usernames and passwords to websites and network resources that I use?

Using the built in XP help and support I get the following suggested topic:

To have the computer remember your password
Use this procedure when accessing a password-protected resource on the Internet or on your company's intranet or network.

1. In the User name and password dialog box that is displayed when you attempt to access a protected resource, in User name, type your user name.

2.In Password, type your password.

3.Select the Remember my password check box.

4.Click Don't ask for this password again.

The next time you gain access to this resource, Windows supplies the user name and password you typed.

Where is option 4? I don't see a checkbox for this. Do I need to enable something to allow this to work?

Thanks,
RA

Note

If you share your computer with other users, do not choose to have the computer remember your password.
