| Ya know...it's goofy stuff like this that makes me want to stop responding to legit requests for @ssistance on the ActiveWin forums. Microsoft started using activation because prior OS versions were being installed on multiple machines. They were loosing money. Many other companies have started using activation also. Adobe to name just one. If you read the software license, YOU WOULD KNOW that it could be installed on only one machine. As far as MS checking system spec's, that's old news. That's how they know if you're trying to install WinXP on more than one machine. PLEASE...switch to Linux.
