Based on this link from MS Support (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314474) it essentially indicates that the problem is related to a corrupted file on the install disc. Are you first installing WinXP, and then SP2? If so, I'd recommend downloading it from Microsoft vs. using the disc you received. Did these discs come with your computer? If so, which computer mfgr?
