First off - what programs did you delete and HOW did you delete them? Did you delete them the proper way of going to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, or ??? To check to see if your sound card drivers are still installed, go to Control Panel/Sound and Performance (if you're in category view. If not, go to the next step)/System and click on the Hardware tab and then Device manager. If you see a ! next to anything in the soundcard area, right click and choose to update the driver and let it search the internet. If not, choose to uninstall all of the sound device items in the list and reboot. Upon reboot, the computer will search for the proper drivers - either on the computer or via the internet. Let us know how this works. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100

Is your system a "custom" built system, or one from Dell/Gateway or other mfgr? If from a mfgr, you should have a disc with drivers on it. If custom, thats another issue. What programs did you uninstall? It sounds like one of them was connected to this controller under "Other". ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100
