I have bought and taken back 2 PCI USB ports thinking they were bad. I have kept the third. I really need to get it to work because I have to take my camera to the store. I am running an AMD K6 300mhz machine with 320 meg ram. I have checked the PCI ports with another card and they are fine. What am I missing? Someone said I need USB.sys but all I can find on the web is references to it. I have the Windows USB stuff loaded, and the card driver, but it won't work. Someone else said it won't work with the AMD processor. Does anyone know what is wrong or a work around if it is the processor?[emote|:-S][emote|:-S]

Check with the card's mfgr to see if the even have drivers for Win98 for this card. If not, you'll need to seriously consider upgrading to at least Win2000, if not, WinXP. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100

I have the CD that came with it, it has all the drivers and USB hub and everything. By all rights it should work, but it won't. It does show up but has an error in device manager. I have worked on these things since the 8088 days and I haven't seen anything like it. That is why I thought the first cards were defective. They all came from different stores, and the last is a different manufacturer. It seems the computer has every file it needs, just can't communicate to the card. I don't have it in here now. I know I need to upgrade, but I am on a fixed and very limited income. Thanks for the help![emote|:-S]
