| When I try to start up the comp, I received the error message Error Loading GDI.EXE. You must reinstall windows. As I cannot afford to do that I have tried the resolution from microsoft: Windows 98 md c:\windows\fonts attrib +s c:\windows\fonts extract /a d:\win98\win98_22.cab *.fon /l c:\windows\fonts extract /a d:\win98\win98_22.cab *.ttf /l c:\windows\fonts That doesnt work either. Also a few time I get an error message about VSDATA95.VXD from what I am told is Zone Alarm which was uninstalled a while ago. I am not able to log in, in Safe Mode nor does a Startup disk work. Any suggestions as I do not want to reinstall windows for fear of losing important data Thanks in advance |
