We recently changed our operating system from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Professional, and now find that we cannot search for a word or phrase within QuarkXpress or InDesign files. This Windows Explorer search feature is one we rely on daily, as we have hundreds of Quark and InDesign files in our archive, and need to find specific files by word or phrase within the file. This was not a problem when using Windows 2000. Any insights on what changed between the two operating systems to cause this, and if there's an easy fix in the registry for it, so that Quark and InDesign are recognized as text files and thus searchable? Thanks in advance for @ssistance with this problem.
