| I got a virus on my laptop but luckily AVG and Spybot S&D got rid of it with no h@ssle but now i am left with an annoying problem. I get a error message saying: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Buffer overrun detected! Program: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The programcannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated. --------------------------------------------------------------------- This error message comes up everytime i start my laptop and i only get the option of clicking [OK], when i do it just closes explorer which then just restarts and within 20 seconds the message is back. I have just left the error message open and ignored it and my laptop works perfectly fine. i checked all over the Microsoft website and there is nothing there of any use except mention of a hotfix that can be used but there is no other reference to this hotfix and no way of getting it. Please if anyone can help me send me a message or an email to Aj_Miller@Hotmail.co.uk |

| First, don't blame Microsoft. Chances are that the virus damaged part of the OS. One thing to try is to clear out the cache in Internet Explorer, and also delete any temp files.
