Is this a burned copy? What does it say on the cd? Is the cd hologrammed?

What we need to do is manually uninstall xp

I think you do this:

boot from win98/me bootdisk

c:
extract /a c:\undo\boot.cab *.* c:
attrib -r -s -h c:\boot.ini
copy bootini.bak boot.ini

restart the pc, select 'cancel xp setup' and you'll be back in win98. Once in win98 clean up the system, and copy the i386 folder from the cd to hard drive, and run setup from there.

For instance if you copy the i386 folder to c:\, then from start > run > you would type:

c:\i386\winnt32.exe

If you need to make a copy of the i386 folder from dos follow this article:

I bet this is a burned cd.
