I'm looking for a way to suppress the print dialog box. It is for a web application, and when the user clicks on a button, the current page should be printed without showing the print dialog box. I realize there is a security issue here but I'm trying to do this at the request of the end user. Is it possible to do this with an ActiveX control? If so, can someone please point me to the right resources.
Thank you!

First, is this in a client/server network? Also, which browser are you using, and which printer?

Yes, it is a client/server network. I'm using IE 7, and the printer for now is an HP LaserJet. Eventually I'll be using a label printer.

That helps - there isn't an "ActiveX control" to supress it, but you might want to check under the properties to see if there's a box to uncheck so that it doesn't show. For instance, on Epson printers (I have two), under Maintenance, there's a box to uncheck that will hide this.
You also might want to check with the administrator to see if there are any settings he has in place that require the print dialog box to come up all the time.

Thanks for your help. There is an option to "print directly to the printer" in properties but it is disabled so I can't change it. It would be nice if there was a script to do this..oh well. Thanks again.
