First of all thanks for taking time to help me with this! My buddy gave me a call saying he wanted his Gateway 7330GZ Notebook refreshed and like new. So I figure "easy job" no problem bring it to me. Well going on at startup I hit F11 to enter the Gateway System Restore, Select the Destructive Restore, and it goes on its way. It finishes the Gateway Restore and says The restore is done and click here to restart. So i do. When windows start is brings up the Windows XP Home setup screen that says INSTALLING DEVICES. The completion bar goes half way across and then the notebook completely freezes to the point you cannot do anything but hold the power button to turn it off. Then when windows loads again, it show the screen saying STARTING WINDOWS SETUP, but then freezes in about one second to complete uselessness again. HHHHHHEEEEEEELPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!! Any help or ideas would be great, before I anger myself again, and I tried to redo the restore about 5 times, and had left the computer sit for about 3 hours when frozen, still nothing.
