Hello people I am very stuck on this one. Scanner works, drivers look like they are loaded, scanner runs through process of scanning then stops, no error code. Try new scanner, delete old drives, new scanner does same as the first. Try to load printer with drives from disk, computer stops process. Have had ports checked and usb`s checked. ged [emote|:-|]

Which scanner and printer? Also, have you checked the mfgr's website for updated drivers? Oft times, newer drivers will correct the problem. Also, is the scanner a USB2 scanner? And if so, is it plugged into a USB 2 or 1.1 port? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200 and D100

Have you run a check for a virus or malware/spyware? With all those issues, it sounds like a potential infestation. Did you download/install something prior to this problem happening? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200 and D100
