I have recently been setting up a home network. I have windows server 2003 installed on one computer and windows vista on another. Windows server 2003 is wirelessy connected to a netgear dg834g router and the windows vista computer is wired to the router. Although the computers are on the same workgroup they can not see each other but you can ping the ip addresses. I am a new user to server 2003 so any help would be nice Henry

One word of advice - patience...some of us were asleep when this was posted. Under Vista, go under Control Panel/Network/Networks and Sharing Center - Change it from Public to Private Network. Make sure that both share the same workgroup name (like...Workgroup). ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
