I want to reload my OS and applications as I believe that there is some corruption on my current HD. I therefore want to load XP on a new HD as well as the the programs and data to the new drive. I want to do this as efficiently as possible to minimize system down time. I don't want to "clone" the drive for fear of carrying forward the corruption. I have created a process below. I would be most appreciative to hear comments on this. Will this process work? Is there a more efficient way of achieving the same end. 1. Install new HD as the secondary drive (leave the original HD as the primary) 2. Install XP on new HD (but do not activate it) 3. Install applications on new HD 4. Copy data to new HD 5. Move the new HD to be the primary drive 6. Activate XP on the new HD (as primary drive)
