Originally Posted by Jedi Master: Did you install a particular program or download something prior to this happening?
No. I have not downloaded anything besides maybe a few JPEG and an AVI. The weird thing is, is that this has happened to me before. And after 2 weeks, i decided to check again. and... Surprisingly...my computer loaded up in safe mode! then i decided to do a system restore and my windows was working again. Now it's back to square one. Any solutions at all? [emote|:(]

One thing that you might want to try first is to reboot with your WinXP CD in and go into the Recovery Console. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058. This may at least get your computer to a point where you can backup your data. BTW, what antivirus are you running? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

Thank you so much for the help. I will look into it asap! The only anti virus program i am running at the moment is AVG. Nothing else.
