I just got a second computer for my basement its a celeron 1.3 ghz , when I first turned it on I got many random restarts, pop ups and curruption errors, I ran the ME recovery disk and brought it back to its original state. initially it had 256 megs of PC 133 sdram I added two more 128 PC 100 sticks I do not have any curruption errors now or quite random restarts but when I run utorrent I leave it for say 30 mins and it restarts, any help is greatly appreciated

You're essentially demanding an instant response. Second, if it's been sitting around, open up the case (make sure it's unplugged, and gently clean out all dust and crap. Dust can cause overheating, which could cause these reboots. Next, if you're running Windows laME edition, I'd strongly recommend putting a different OS (Windows 2000 or Windows XP) on it. WinME was the WORST, and could cause this sort of error all by itself. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

Win98 comes with a floppy disk to start installation. The floppy includes the DOS utility, FDISK. You can use that to delete the partition and install Win98 (although I'd still recommend something a little more modern) ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
