i recently formatted my pc and now there is no sound and there are yellow question marks on the multimedia audio controller. If I had a dollar for every time fixed this issue (both in person and here)... Given the motherboard, this sounds like a "custom built" system (not retail - i.e. HP, Dell, etc.). First, check MSI's website (http://www.msicomputer.com/) for the proper driver. A second option is to go into Device Manager (Start/Control Panel/Performance and Maintenance/System/Hardware tab/Device Manager) and uninstall the audio device (probably has a yellow ! next to it). Once you do that, reboot, and let WinXP search the internet for the proper driver. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate/Server 2008, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
