I am trying to connect to my office machine using FTP. It logs in fine, but when I try to put some file, it says - 500 Illegal Port Command. Use PORT or PASV first. I googled and got some info that says that the firewall would be blocking the return ports. I stopped the Avast that was running. Turned of Xp's firewall and did all crap, but nothing worked. Any ideas on that. -Karthik

Well...considering FTP was designed for data transfer from one machine to another (i.e. upload/downloading files), it sounds like what you're trying to do is a Remote Desktop Connection.
