Hi, My windows have been going inactive and going active every few seconds. My Internet Explorer is not working. Luckily my Firefox is. Also my Curser for when I type also disapears. I have downloaded a file this morning that brought some spyware on to my computer. I ran my ad aware and spy bot search and destroy and it did not work at all. However it did take away an annoying message saying that the computer had dected spyware.. Please Help.. I am on a Fujitsu Laptop.. Microsoft XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3 I am getting very annoyed with this.. I tried everything.. How do I fix this.. Please help I am about to run hijack this and see if this fixes the problem.. if not I will let you guys know.. ---------------------------------------------- Megan E Arlitz

Since you're using AVG for antivirus, boot into Safe Mode and run a full virus scan. Then re-run both SpyBot and and AdAware again to see what they find. You may want to consider a better security suite like Kaspersky. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate/Server 2008, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

I hit fix and it fixed them. Then I ran AdAware and fixed all that. Then I go to turn my lap top off to restart it.. and Now I get an error saying that it could not find this following file. Sounds like you had a virus that damaged a system file. On the error message you receive, does it point to a specific file? Did the laptop not come with a WinXP CD or ??? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate/Server 2008, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

Good go hear that. I woul,d definitely recommend switching antivirus/software suites to Kaspersky over AVG. And definitely don't get suckered into Norton. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate/Server 2008, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
