Hi - desperately looking for help as this problem has been driving me mad over the past 24hrs.
I had a virus and reinstalled XP.
Once installed I lost audio and an error message popped up in Device Manager as above.
This relates to "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" plus another for "Modem device on High Definition Audio Bus".
I assume that a driver is missing but I registered with PC Pitstop Driver Alert and carried out an initial scan then update. 16 drivers were missing and subsequently installed however the problem remains for audio as aforementioned.
I have also carried out a system scan using Belarc Advisor - system details etc. are given as below.
Can somebody please inform me what the problem relates to and how I can remedy it.
Thanks.

As this is a notebook, the best thing to do is check the manufacturer's website for current drivers.
The alternative is to right click on each device, choose update driver, and let XP scan the internet for the latest driver.
