I went into MSconfig, unchecked the two csrsses that were there (Both were the bad ones.). The MSN virus (It also applied to my AIM) disabled antivirus sites and System restore, and, after finding and deleting it, the Anti virus sites still don't work. What do I do?
By the way... You get the virus as follows. Someone will send you a message (I don't know if it's sent out to everyone, if they have to open a chat window with you or not):
"Hey, is this your profile? It looks like you. http://www.imstuff.us/profile.php?msn(youremailaddress)" Don't @ssume it's a bad link, and don't download it. I doubt downloading does anything, it's the executing. Executng it will delete the file, suspiciously... It'll disable your Antivirus, your run (according to some of the posters above), and your system restore. @ssoon as it sends a message to somebody, it'll close the message window, leaving you confused when people ask, "No, that's not me." or "No, I don't have one of those." Read Dantheman5187's post, I managed to get rid of the virus. Almost completely. I'm sure there're variations of the viri, since people get different messages. And, my run wasn't disabled...
Anti-virus sites remain disabled, though, how do I fix that?
