lol, great name Emoticon

What Email program are you using? Outlook? Eudora? Outlook Express?

Also, you might have more luck in the Microsoft Office forum or the Windows 95/98/ME or Windows XP forums, or whichever forums most closely matches your version of Windows.

No the problem is that she can not type using cyrillic characters in Hotmail. Perhaps hotmail doesn't support this feature.

Yes but I don't know if a russian language pack will help with the actual keyboard input, but I've ne'er had to input russian before.

I guess he should just go to the nearest Russian CompUSA and get the correct keyboard.

Have you ever seen a russian keyboard? It's quite interesting...

The layout is quite different from US keyboards:http://www.goucher.edu/library/decker/helpfiles/images/rukeyboard.jpg

That's not the problem she has... she has the same issue I do... You can type in Russian in hotmail no problem, but if you open up one of your email from the sent folder, or a letter sent to you in Russian, it shows up weird (aaaakjdeee iiii<--kinda like that except different) Unfortunately with Hotmail, prefs don't allow you to change your language to Cyrillic, and I haven't been able to figure it out yet... if you know, please post. But the typing is not a problem at all...
