All this hype over which system is best is quite hillarious to read, i actually skipped most of it when the flaming started. Now, $200 for the online adaptor? hmm i paid $29 for mine. Now the Linux Kit for the PS2 costs $200, comes with a Keyboard, HDD and many other periphials. Now Xbox yes the graphics are amazing, but ya know what? there mroe amazing on my PC. For some reason a GeForce FX 5950 just makes things look better. Memory of the systems? they both suck, but there consoles, can't beat my 1024MB of DDR 400Mhz Dual Channel. And Halo.. wow... I have it on PC, nice eh? better then Xbox for Graphics, and was quite disapointed, game was easy on every Difficulty except for Legendary. Short too. Games? hmm PS2 does have the market there, and XBOX may catch up. But that's the whole point isn't it? We buy the console that has the game we like, plain and simple. Doing otherwise is ignorant. Do I have a preference? nah, I own a PS2, PS1, TG-16, Saturn, 3DO, Jaguar, Atari 2600, Virtual Boy (head ache machine there, ugh RED!) GBA, SNES, NES, Sega Genesis with 32X / Sega CD / And Sega MAster add on (to play those good old games) Now I have seen some intelligent comments in this forum, not many but a few, to those people I applaude you! For those stuck on "this is better", "that is better", "Yeah well this has this", "(Bleep) you monkey boy", etc etc... Grow up... We all go eventually where the games we want are. So far I don't own an Xbox since there are no games that interest me on it that i can't just play on my PC... for a lot less btw (ever compare PC games to Console game prices? ouch)All this hype over which system is best is quite hillarious to read, i actually skipped most of it when the flaming started. Here is the plain, simple, non biased answer... Chose the Console that you think you will enjoy the games that it has. Forget all the add on crap, forget who says what is better. Go for what you want to play and do. Ok there's my opinion. Maybe I brought some sense to the Chaos... ---------------------------------------------- Mobo: GA-8KNXP V-Card: GeForce FX 5950 Memory: 1024MB(1GB) DDR 400Mhz Dual Channel HDD: 4x160GB Western Digital SATA, 3x250GB Western Digital IDE RAID CPU: 3.2GHz P4 Exteme HT (Previously a 2.4GHz P4 Ver C) FSB: 800MHz (1200 when over clocked) No Console compares to a good ol' PC
