      Hi

I am new to this forum and I am not sure what I need to do to fix this problem. I too am getting the same message after I try to install anything I download off the internet.

I've read all the posts but I still don't understand what I am looking for or what to do.

Can someone please run me through in simple terms where and what to find to solve this menace. Any help would be really appreciated.

      Cheers

Well, I have the A8N-SLi delux, and everything else works fine except when I download big files (e.g. updates for games, such as Half Life 2, X3, and even online games such @ssecond Life). Pulling my hair out since I got this darn thing, but just realized if I tried another card it might work. Put in a spare and it works fine now! Thanks all.

    To Carne:
Check the back of your computer case.
Check where the ethernet cable (usually blue, sometimes green, yellow, or grey) is connected to the computer.
If it is near the top (near the USB places, where you plug your mouse and keyboard in), it is plugged directly into the motherboard.
It appears to be some motherboards (the big huge one inside the computer) corrupt the DL process.
If you have a card that fits into a slot on the inside of the computer with an ethernet port (like a phone line, but wider), turn off the computer, unplug it, depress the power button for 4 seconds, put it in and turn on the computer. Plug the cable into THAT jack, and try downloading it all over again.

Of course, this all @ssumes you have a PC. But why wouldn't you?

I looked at the back of the computer and I have nothing plugged into the ethernet spot. What should I do to fix this problem? If you could phrase your responses @ssimply as possible that would be a huge help Emoticon

I recently began having a similar problem with ALL downloads being corrupted and or claiming invalid digital signatures. However, I have an Intel D915PSY Motherboard - not @ssus, and I can't figure out what is causing the problem on my system.

I have a wireless USB, internet connection and have disableb both of my network cards. I have tried everything I can think of, including a clean install of Windows XP Pro with SP2, and still have the same problem. I can't even update my Norton antivirus via the internet... the live update fails everytime.

I noticed the problem about 10 days ago and the last bit of hardware I installed was a Netgear WGT624 wireless router and WG111T wireless adapter. These were installed about two weeks prior. I don't know if one of these has a firewall or how to disable it..... thanks in advance for any advice!

I recently built this new pc with this setup:

Intel core 2 due E6300
Western Digital Sata2 500gb
TwinMOS DDR2 PC5300 667mhz
ASUS MOTHERBOARD P5ld2-VM DH (the network card was a Intel pro card)
500W powersupply

And I have getting problems with .rar files everytime I try to unpack them. Most of the files are always corrupted and doesn't work. I have tried downloading different files but getting corrupted files again and again and again. I also tried to turn the MS Firewall off and system restore function off, and checked if the ports that I was using to DL was open and it was. I tried spybot, ad-aware, avg antivirus check, scandisk, and all those things but it still doesn't work for me.

I also saw another posthttp://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20061129032041531&board_id=1&model=P5B-E&page=1&SLanguage=en-us
and tried disable "task offload" under properties for the nic in Device manager. But still it doesn't work.

I can see some of you have problems with some kind of active armor. But I dont got the nvidia driver for this motherboard. It uses Intel Pro network card 1000mb.

And to the last, I tried to use a old network card with 100mb that I used on my old computer, and I DL some files to check, but still getting corrupted files.

I am really sad about this and I would love some help with this problem.
Please contact my at jt1986@gmail.com

This Nvidia Network Access Manager is a pain in the @ss... I have been having this download issue for a while since I built my new computer. I just happen to have more than one PC and I've been using RDP to download it from my other computer then share the file on the network. But tonight I finally decided to tackle this problem and thanks to everyone that contributed to this thread, I uninstalled Network Access Manager and what do you know? I can download normally again.

i have a similiar problem using a nforce2 mobo, i can often download the files but after a while they get corrupted with bad crc etc...

from my research it can be 3 things:

1st. it can be nvidia software, ie active armor(not in my case tho)

2nd. overclocked RAMs (i have oc rams but they p@ssed the memtest tests)

3rd. it can be the hard drives that have bad sectors( this is what i am checking atm)

if anyone have more info plz post it up

Hello, I have been having the exact same problem since I started downloading files from File Hosts (like Rapidshare and Megaupload) most of the time I downloaded series of rar files because I wanted to download a game that the links were posted in some forums. However, whenever I finished downloading them and I tried extracting them, I would get a CRC Error. The only way I found to fix this was to re-download the corrupted part again (and this wasn't even 100% guaranteed that the part wouldn't get corrupt again).

My Computer's Specs are:
Motherboard: Intel DG965SS (I read the whole topic, and it doesn't happen just on asus boards).
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400.
Graphics Card: MSI Nvidia Geforce 8800GT.
RAM: 2x Supertalent DDR2 1GB 667mhz.

Back to the topic, I have tried searching for the so called 'Active Armor' thing, but I don't seem to have it on my computer.

NOTE: This does not only happen to my computer, it happens to my brother's computer too which is like mine but it has a different Intel Motherboard and a 8800GTS.

I do not have a Network Card, I connect directly with an ethernet cable to the motherboard's port.

I have tried formatting the PC and installing another OS like Windows Vista Ultimate and I still get the same problems. I'm currently running on Windows XP Professional.

Help would be appreciated, thanks!

I also had this problem which started after i used the AI overclock feature on my A8V-E SE ASUS mobo to increase the CPU's preformance, but once I saw that redcapneo said it could could be overclocked RAM, i undid the overclock, and my computer is fine now.
Hope this helps anyone else who had this problem.

Hi all

Yea as above same issue with corruption.

Ihavebeen actually trying to get a geforce 6600gt to workin the machine im on atm on an asus a7v8x-x mobo. I have tried using my lan cardand and now am using a wireless usb into the motherboard.

Im getting that al my files are corrupt just after download. I have reinstalled windows home sp2 and am getting tired of it ^^

This started due to when im scrolling its sort of refreshing the entire window in an horizontal line up the screen/window and i asked around and a friend said it was due to not having the chipset drivers thus i triefd to install chipset drivers and .exe files wouldnt work, sovarious things carried on getting worse so i formatted and reinstalled and now its all up the shoot with zips, rar, exe's and the works now corrupting after download.

I have tried the active armour thing but i dont have it, i dont even have drivers for my 6600 as the mobo doesnt even know the card is there so any advice or a point in the right directiion would be nice, Im thinking its possibly an issue with the motherboard but seeing as all mobos have been mentioend in here i am thinking now the harddrive possibly the or ram problems.

Im running

a7v8x-x mobo,
(sort of) geforce 6600gt
Maxtor 6y080l0
edimax lan(cant remember which atm)
amd atholon xp2400+
and 1gb of ram (unsure make)

sorry im not the most pc literate but hopefully this may help you guys
