I have read in forums that someone can keep Snippingtool launched (on the desktop) so that it is only ONE click away from snipping. On MY PC, snippingtool does NOT persist, so that 'advice' is inapplicable - unless I can be shown how to make snippingtool' ...

How to prevent this and get it working normally again ? Once I decline to re-install Excel, the SS opens and I can proceed. I think it is happening for other programs too, but it's with SSs that I keep noticing it.
