Yes, Win2000 comes with ver 7. There are versions of DX8 for Win2000 and Win9x. Make sure that you downloaded the Win2000 ver.
If you were using the Windows Update wizard, there have been problems with it the past couple of days. Probably lots of people downloading the updates/fixes to WinXP. |
